Description
This is a chance to own a rare first pressing of Sam Apple Pie's debut album from 1969. I bought this album as a 15 year old kid starting out learning to play blues guitar. It has had loads of plays cos it was my favourite album for a long time. However, it has just been filed upright in my cupboard at home for the last 45 years at least. There is plenty of wear on the cover, with big ring marks visible.
I played the album in its entirety yesterday and it plays without any jumping or skipping. However, there is a general background crackle especially in-between tracks and in quite moments in particular on tracks like Annabelle. It did not spoil my enjoyment listening on headphones and it was amazing how bright the sound is.
I believe my copy is from a first pressing, having read up on Decca Matrix /Runout protocols. Look closely at the pictures of the album and its clearly visible.
I’m selling my record collection of around 400 vinyl albums from the late sixties to eighties. Many heavy rock and blues + others. Have a good look more and more being listed as I get round to looking, playing and cleaning them for grading purposes. My username is Jimsstuff99.
