They say we are like wine and we get better with age - well this is certainly the case here.
In 1963 a short time before his untimely death the greatest soul singer of this century went ahead and cut arguably the greatest deep soul album of all time.
The reason it sounds like 2 am is because it was cut at 2 am.
This here is an original 1963 USA mono copy. On the famous RCA Hugo Lugio label....First pressing!
First pressings had the red rooster sticker attached as shown in photo.
Play tested .
Vinyl and cover are a impressive VG + - Great gloss, some surface wear a small fine scratch that covers 2 songs on side 2 and the odd handling mark.
Cleaned on a VPI
A very clean play overall but expect some faint background noise in the quieter passages.
Price is based on extreme rarity. Vinyl will be sent packed,tracked and insured.
