They say we are like wine and we get better with age - well this is certainly the case here.
In 1963 a short time before his untimely death the greatest soul singer of this century went ahead and cut arguably the greatest deep soul album of all time.
The reason it sounds like 2 am is because it was cut at 2 am.
This here is an original 1963 USA mono copy. On the famous RCA Hugo Lugio label....First pressing!
Very rarely played judging by next to no spindle wear...A GEM to find like this!
Play tested and what a sound! Warm,engaging and ready to enjoy!
Vinyl is close to N/M...... There are under a 1000 watt bulb evidence of sleeve marks which are normal from even new in the factory being pressed into the inner and a couple of small unnoticeable minute dimples which do not affect play.
Cover is a very impressive VG ++ - clean front and back,corner bumps,bottom ding and slight fade on spine.
Cleaned on a VPI
A very clean play.
As a bonus I will throw in 2 more Sam Cooke albums that have about $80 worth of value...originals...just need a clean.
Price is based on extreme rarity. Vinyl will be sent packed,tracked and insured.
