They say we are like wine and we get better with age - well this is certainly the case here.
In 1963 a short time before his untimely death the greatest soul singer of this century went ahead and cut arguably the greatest deep soul album of all time.
The reason it sounds like 2 am is because it was cut at 2 am.
This here is an original 1963 mono promo copy. Vinyl enthusiasts who are familiar with promo copies know they are the first run sent to radio stations,reps,and music label employees for reviewing purposes.
Promos sound better as they were pressed 3 to 4 months prior to mass public release.
Vinyl and cover are a impressive VG + - Great gloss,has some marks from inner sleeve wear and the odd handling mark.
A very clean play overall but expect some faint background noise in the quieter passages.
Price is based on extreme rarity. Vinyl will be sent packed,tracked and insured.
