Description

Sam Rivers on Blue Note 4249

This is the original Van Gelder-stamped mono pressing of Sam Rivers “A New Connection” on the Liberty labels of Blue Note BLP 4249.  The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The coated New York 10023 cover is clean throughout, with light age toning on the back slick; “Not For Sale” embossed in the upper left corner; the top seam show slight rubbing/wear and a 1” break at the opening.

Personnel include Hal Galper, Herbert Lewis, and Steve Ellington.
