This is a 1969 release of Samba Blim by Tamba 4. Catalog Number is A&M SP 3013. The cover is very sturdy with a bump on the bottom spine corner. The cover appears to have become slightly soiled so I down graded the cover to VG+. The record is rated NM. It very shiny with only a few very slight mars that appear to be the result of storage rather than from handling. The sleeve is present and in excellent shape except for some fading. Please review the Record Grading section below to understand my ratings.
Record Grading I am not a professional record collector or dealer, just someone trying to reduce his record collection. I’ve tried to follow the rating system in Tim Neely’s Standard Catalog of American Records 1950-1975, 5th Edition. Below is a summary and as I said I’m not a pro, just trying to do the best that I can. Please review the pictures as what you see is what you get. Please contact me if you have any questions about what you are seeing. Mint (M) – Absolutely perfect in every way. Near Mint Records (NM or M-)– Shiny, with no visible defects, writing, stickers, or other markings cannot appear on the label, nor can any “spindle marks.” Without major factory defects. Near Mint Covers – no creases, ring wear or seam splits of any kind. Very Good Plus (VG+) or Excellent (E) Records – may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches. Slight warps and minor signs of handling are OK too, such as telltale marks around the center hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should barely be visible. Very Good Plus Covers – Should have only minor wear, some minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom. Also a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. Very Good (VG) Records - have more obvious flaws, they lack most of the original gloss, groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Minor writing, tape or a sticker can detract from the label. Very Good Covers – will have many signs of human handling. Ring wear in the middle or along the edges of the cover where the edge of the record would reside is obvious. Some more creases might be visible. Seam splitting will be more obvious; it may appear on all three sides, though it won’t be obvious upon looking. Cover may have writing or a price tag on it.
PAYPAL payment must be received within 5 days of the end of the auction. If payment is not received timely I reserve the right to relist the item unless previous arrangements have been made.
I will combine shipping if possible. Please contact me prior to payment if you win multiple items and would like to combine shipment. If the items can be combined (size and weight are factors) I will send you a revised invoice.
