Description

Santana debut on the UK CBS label from 1970. Matrix A1/B1. Please note the very first pressings do not mention 'Chrysalis Publishing'. The heavy set record comes housed in an original stereo cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) The vinyl has been well cared for and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of small marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Audio quality really is superb with very little audible interference. I can't imagine that there are many copies around that do as good a job as this of resolving what is some quite dense complex percussive tracks. It's worth insisting on an early copy because the pressing quality did deteriorate as the 70's progressed. Please note there is one small mark in the second track [side 2] which causes a couple of light pops. In reality this is the only vaguely noticeable audible imperfection on this great rendition of an all time classic.
Cover (Ex) These covers often turn up looking a bit worse for wear, but this example really is preserved well. No fading. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains much of the original rigidity.
