Santana fan..? You owe it to yourself to get this classic album in the best possible condition. Want a copy that will beat any other copy in the world.....then look no further...
An original 1st pressing of 'Man With Outstretched Hand..' - Santana's 3rd on UK CBS label from 1971. Matrix A2/B2. Ok, so how do you spot a true very 1st pressing...>>? Easy...check out the labels...There's no track times! There's no publishing date either! Tends to suggest they were in a big hurry to fulfil orders early on and were in a rush. 1st pressing also needs to mention the publishing credit 'Dandelion' and NOT 'Keith Prowse'. So, there you have it a true first press. And you can hear it in the audio...this copy is immaculate...it can't be very far from those nice fresh original masters..Beautiful! The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Shorewood cover. Please note there's no gold sticker on the front as is common on the early copies. As they neared 1st release out came the gold stickers to make sure everyone knew whose album it was! Also included is the original CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In truly immaculate condition and believe me when I say this baby is super low-mileage. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Absolutely astonishing transparency...every last cough and whistle...it's in the mix. There's absolutely no interference of any kind all the way through. It plays as clean as the day it was purchased in 1971. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been cared for down the years. The third album often looks a bit beaten up and worn so this copy really has been treated with kid gloves. Lovely clean front with no creasing and only very lighetst handling wear. Ditto the rear. The interior is in great condition with what looks like a bit of wear to the main image. It is not wear - it is a printing fault and unavoidable - legacy of any early copy I suspect. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact.
Inner (Ex) Only very lightest of ageing. No splits or markings.
