SAPPHIRE - JEALOUSY/LET IT BURN - SAPPHIRE ROCKS RECORDS - SRR001 - 1982 NWOBHM MEGA RARITY - EX+
This auction is for the one of the rarest and best singles from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal era of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Sapphire were a short lived outfit formed by Melody Maker journalist Steve Gett in 1981. Despite support slots with Alice Cooper - on his Special Forces tour - and with Blackfoot they sadly disbanded in May 1982, shortly after releasing this classic double sided single on their own Sapphire Rocks Records label.
It's now almost impossible to find in any condition.
This has been in my collection from new and has been played several times but is in EX+ condition. There are no scratches, skips, jumps or crackle.
Sadly it doesn't come with the original poster sleeve - which is even rarer than the record itself - but is in a plain white sleeve.
The A-side contains the classic Jealousy and the B-side is Let It Burn.
