Original 1st press OZ LP released in 1957 on the red & silver Coronet label. Cat number: On cover KLP 501 on label KLPX 501.Over the next few weeks I will be listing some wonderful Jazz titles from a recently acquired Jazz collection. The original owner passed away back in 1985 and his sister decided to hold onto them for sentimental reasons. She had not touched or played them since then (1985!!). The records are in stunning condition for their age many, apart from a few light age spots on the covers, look like they walked off the shelf yesterday. I hope you enjoy viewing and possibly purchasing these wonderful jazz vinyl artifacts as much as i have in preparing them for sale and listening to them!!
The small jazz group, which is heard in eight of these twelve songs, consists of Miles Davis on trumpet, Benny Green on trombone, Tony Scott on clarinet, Buddy Johnson on tenor sax, Billy Taylor on bass and C.J. Heard on drums, Jimmy Jones on piano and Mundell Lowe and Freddie Green sharing the guitar work.
Tracks : East of the sun/ Nice work if you can get it/ Pinky/ The nearness of you/ Come rain or come shine/ Mean to me/ It might as well be spring/ Can’t get out of this mood/ Spring will be a little late this year/ Ooh, what’cha doin’ to me/ Goodnight my love/ Ain’t misbehavin’. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause some light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover with back flaps has a tiny sticker on back top right, some light age spots. light ring wear and a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
