Savoy Brown, Blue Matter. This is the original UK stereo issue of their third album recorded from March to December 1968, including a live gig at Liecester College and released in April 1969. The Moore & Matthes Ltd front laminated Sleeve is in EX Condition, the blue company inner is in VG+ Condition and the record is in EX Condition. With great tracks from Savoy Brown including; 'Train To Nowhere & Vicksburg Blues'. With the original blue unboxed Decca Labels, the 2W 1W Matrices & 1-B 1-U Stampers of the earliest first Presses! Description
This is the original UK stereo press from April 1969 with the dark blue unboxed Decca labels, the SKL.4994 matrix numbers and the front laminated sleeve. With the earliest 2W 1W matrices and 1-U 1-B stampers of the very 1st presses.
This is the third Savoy Brown album which was produced by Mike Vernon from March to December 1968 and released in the UK in November 1969 after the band recorded the second side live at Leicester College in December. The initial copies came in both mono & stereo versions with unboxed Decca labels, which were discontinued in 1970. The band left soon after its release for a tour of the USA and their next album released later that same year broke them in the US.
The Moore & Matthes Ltd front laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light laminate rubbing/creasing on the front cover, with some very light rubbing on the rear cover. The blue company inner sleeve is intact and in VG+ condition and the spine is intact and fully readable.
Overall, still a really great, loud & clear listen. The matrix nos. are; ZAL-8682-2W stamper 1-B, ZAL-8683-1W stamper 1-U. This is one of the very earliest copies of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1969 album.
