Overall condition is EXCELLENT 

Sleeve EXCELLENT

Front has some very light creasing to the edge nearest the spine but otherwise is in excellent condition with the colours still bright and there isn’t any writing, taping or stickers.

Back is in excellent condition There is an ''indicator hole'' to let the colour coded, poly lined, inner sleeve show through: blue indicated a stereo record, red a mono one.

Spine is firm and totally legible but has some slight creasing.

Inner Sleeve The original Decca stereo blue inner sleeve is still in excellent condition

I will also include the original plastic outer that I bought with it, although it is starting to split slightly at the top, it still fits tightly and has successfully kept the dust off for all these years.

Record        EXCELLENT  It’s pressed on heavyweight vinyl. The record is clean and glossy and the disc retains deep, black vinyl sheen. There are some faint hairline marks on both sides but nothing to affect the sound quality.

Labels The labels show some minimal signs of use, have no writing or stickers and are clean with no noticeable spindle marking. As this is the first UK stereo pressing, it has the large unboxed Decca logo on the labels, later pressings had a boxed Decca logo.

Audio Quality excellent It plays really well apart from some of the usual vinyl hiss and crackle between tracks and some quieter passages, which doesn’t detract from the overall sound, which is still amazing. It lays flat on the turntable and plays well without the needle sticking or jumping. Until 1970 I only ever played my albums on a Garrard Sp25 Mk11 with a Sonotone 9TAHC cartridge and from 1970 onwards on a Pioneer PL12D with a Shure N75 ED-T2 cartridge and stylus, tracking at 1.5 grams which I continue to use today – although the stylus has been replaced regularly

Summary: this album is a lovely piece of genuine memorabilia from a bygone time that changed the world and would grace any collection. If you haven’t heard it on vinyl this could be for you. It certainly doesn’t sound forty-eight years old. The first side has five tracks that reflect the wide-ranging repertoire of this amazingly talented band, who were one of the stables of the early UK blues circuit. Side One: 1, Made Up My Mind 2. Waiting In The Bamboo Grove 3. Life’s One Act Play 4. I’m Tired 5. Where Am I. However, the whole of Side Two is taken up by an incredible live track, “Savoy Brown Boogie” which really shows just how amazing they were in person, it was recorded on 12/05/69 in Edmonton London, by Mike Vernon.
