Description
Condition of the box is as shown. Original mono issue, plum shaded dog label, deep groove, liner notes insert, two soft cover books containing Schnabel's edition of the scores, all in a leather covered deluxe hinged lid box.
Records one, two and five have some scuffs and a few light scratches/scuffs and will play as VG+. Record two, side 25 has a long top of groove scratch that may tick. All the other records appear to be NM, most do not have spindle marks and appear to be unplayed. The booklet is Very Good, but not NM. This set gives off a musty odor.
I removed all the records from their cellophane inner sleeves and placed them in new paper sleeves, as shown. Five records appear to have been played, I cleaned those on a VPI record cleaning machine. The original inner cellophane sleeves are included, as are some RCA paper sleeves. A few of the records had been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves, which reacted mildly with the ink on the labels. A minor issue, but worth noting.
