Description

Compare the original condition of the album cover and the LP to any other on sale.  This Decca SXL 2045 is a 1K.  The LP playing surfaces have been professionally cleaned using a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine with dedicated vinyl wash solution, vacuumed dry and de-static'd.  The album cover has a blue outlined back side and the LP has a black/silver label with a circular indentation 1.7 centimeters out from the center.  I weighed this LP at 200-grams.  Also included is a mini-review:  ..."This is the definitive recording in Krips outstanding career and one of the best of the Decca re-issues.  Krip's reading of Schubert's last symphony is vigorous, but flexible in tempo.  Decca recorded this LP using purist miking which true Deccaphiles prefer to the later "Christmas tree" arrangement...."    I auditioned this particular LP using a Clearaudio Concerto moving coil cartridge and a Graham 2.2 tonearm combination.  It plays beautifully.
