ID no. 9009597 Title: Schubert: Piano Quintet (The Trout) Test Pressing Artist: Festival Arts Quartet Product Condition: SS Cover Condition: SS Description: This auction is for a STILL SEALED single LP Test Pressing of the Classic Records 200gram reissue of The Festival Arts Quartet playing Shubert's "The Trout" Piano Quintet in A, Op. 114. This highly collectible test pressing, marked LSC 2147(A/B), is from the first stamper and less than 20 exist. Test pressings reflect the closest you can get to the lacquers and hence have a special collectible value and store of value. This may be one of the rarest of the Living Stereos based on the few copies dealers have ever seen and the handful of collectors that actually own an original. This 3-track Lewis Layton recording is as revered as the Festival Quartet including Symon Goldberg were renowned in the 1950's and 60's. If you had to have a great quartet recording this would certainly qualify as the one. Happy Bidding!
