Genre/Style: Classical Golden Age of Stereo
This album is from a wonderful collection of audiophile records built up over 30 years by a high-end audio custom install specialist. Each unsealed record has been cleaned with "Disc Doctor Miracle Record Cleaner", inspected in bright sunlight & placed in a new HDPE inner sleeve.

Cover Condition is Very Good (VG). Bright textured cover has light shelf wear with a 4 inch split at the top right edge.
Vinyl Condition is Very Good Plus (VG+). Vinyl is black & shiny and shows a several hair line scratches and light scuffs visible in very bright light at an angle -- nothing you can feel with a fingernail. The labels are excellent with a wrinkle mark on side 1.
Vinyl Play Evaluation: This is a fine example of a wonderful performance, recording and pressing. There is a low to moderate level of surface noise and an occasional pop or crackle. 1/3 of the way through side 1, there are about 7 moderate pops/7revolutions. Also there is a loud pop in the lead out groove of side 1. Despite these minor flaws, the quality of the recording comes through. There is a lovely transparency, realism and richness so you feel you are in the hall hearing each section of the orchestra from harp to tuba, piccolo to bassoon, violin to bass.
I use play grading to supplement the visual grade. Playback varies by setup; I am using a Linn LP12/Ekos/Benz Glider high output cartridge.

Grading: I follow the Goldmine Record Grading Standard (Cover/Vinyl) with the addition of EX to indicate something in between VG+ and NM. VG(+) is a low VG+. A VG+ record will not disappoint.
