Schumann Cello Concerto Symphony Maisky Bernstein DGG 419 190-1
Mischa Maisky with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Leonard Bernstein performs the “Cello Concerto”, and the orchestra performs the “Symphony No. 2” of Schumann. A German stereo pressing on the Deutsche Grammophon Label (419 190-1), the record is of immaculate appearance, and the cover is excellent.
This record is one of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
