Schumann Sonata Richter in Italy UK HMV ASD 520
Original UK ASD Cream & Gold Labels
“Richter in Italy” was recorded when on tour in Italy during 1962. Sviatoslav Richter performs the “Sonata No. 2”, “Papillons”, and “Carnival of Vienna” by Schumann. An English stereo pressing on the HMV Label (OASD 529), the labels are cream with a gold border and “stereophonic”, plum lettering and a small shaded dog logo. The record has minor scuffs at the start of side two and is otherwise of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb, with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has rubbed with a couple of small creases in the laminate.
