Here for auction are five Japanese Philips pressings from former Walker Brother Scott Walker. The items are all in very good condition, and include the fascinating full colour inserts typical of Japanese 7” releases (see photos).
All eight songs have been played through and sounded generally clear from pops and jumps, though some surface noise was evident on many of the songs.
These items were given as gifts to singer/author Julian Cope, during one of his 1980s tours of Japan. Thereafter, they were kept in a warm and dark storage area – they therefore remain clean and fresh-looking.
