Scott Walker ?Fire Escape In The Sky: The Godlike Genius Of Scott Walker

Zoo Records ZOO 2 Julian Cope

Rare and very collectable compilation of Scott Walker tracks, compiled by Julian Cope of Teardrop Explodes fame and released on the small Liverpool-based label Zoo in 1981.

Very clean copy, some minimal light storage marks probably due to the card inner sleeve.  Plays EX on test.  The rather fragile textured outer sleeve is in VG condition with age related wear apparent on the edges and spine.  The correct green card inner is VG with a small seam split and minor scuffs.

  • I’m thinning out my personal record collection and will be offering a wide range of 12” LPs and 7” singles and EPs over the coming weeks.

All have been test played and cleaned using a record cleaning machine.  I use the established Record Collector grading system and grade as accurately as possible (a little tough if anything!).  Refer to the listing for specific descriptions and see Record Collector Magazine Grades listed below for more details.

All records will be well packed using proper vinyl mailers and stiffeners.

Record Grading Details.

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
