Description: •From the 2013 remasters taken from the original analogue tapes Back to Black is proud to present Scott Walker’s third album. Released in 1969 Scott 3 is for many their favourite Scott album. Again working with Wally Stott the pair pushed the boundaries of what effects which could be achieved in the orchestration of a song. Opening track It’s Raining Today – a Walker composition is atmospherically brilliant and is followed by more of his own compositions – Scott is using his inspirations to dress the music lyrically. Brel does make an appearance on Scott 3 – ironically the final 3 songs – almost a requiem. There is probably no finer cover of If You Go Away than that of Scott Walker. Completely in synch with the music and sentiment it’s a cry of pleading desperation.
