Scott Walker - 'Til the Band Comes In
(Philips 6308 035 UK LP 1970)
This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a fully textured sleeve & comes with its original polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press 1Y#-3/ 2Y#-3 matrix stampers. This is Scott's next solo effort following his now highly regarded "Scott 4" LP. It did not sell particularly well at the time. So consequently UK original pressings are not that common. There are some great tracks on this LP too.
Sleeve: There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the bottom edge. There is some light or mild rubbing wear to the top edge. There is some mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light or very mild ringwear. VG+ condition
Vinyl: This LP was kept in an outer PVC sleeve for some time. This has reacted with the vinyl on Side 2. It has left some mild to moderate marks in some areas. These do not affect playback at all. Otherwise, there are some light or very minor sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. VG condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show very light spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light ringwear & fading. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Near Excellent to Excellent overall & Excellent+ in many places. There is some light or very minor crackle in a few quieter places.
