Description
I have a small number of scarce/rare Rock n Roll 78s that I have decided to sell. (So please do check out my other items currently listed)
I only recently acquired this ultra rare record and no longer have the facility to play 78s so it would be impossible to comment on how it plays but it looks to be in fantastic condition for it's age.
The labels are both very nice with few spindle lines suggesting it hasn't been played much. The actual surface of the record is nice and shiny with few scuff marks and wispy lines, none of which appear deep. Considering its age it is in remarkable condition. (There can't be many better out there)
As I understand this is the very first version of this iconic track, which was famously covered by Nina Simone and of course many others since.
At the time of listing this record it is the only one on ebay showing how ultra rare it is and must surely be a must for any serious collector. The B-Side is Little Demon.
I have tried to be as open and accurate in my description of the record as possible but there is always a certain degree of subjectivity when describing an item. That said I believe this to be a truly wonderful example of this iconic record and one that I am sure the winning bidder will enjoy.
