Description
Unofficial release / booted copy. Recorded live in 1974 London. Rare, 1st issue Sigma 6 DSM-1972
We pride ourselves in the quality of the records we sell, and normally we wouldn't sell this copy.
One issue is Side 2 has a long scratch, which is pictured. It is not as bad as it looks, picture is set on Micro, so it is an extreme close-up. It is however audible, not bad, but if you are listing for it, you will hear it. Through the first and second tracs on side 2 there is a faint click, as it crosses it.
Issue 2 is the quality of the pressing is in and out, this is normal for this record, I have heard a few copies prior. This is a "Live" booted recording, don't think it was intended for pressing quality, sound gets overwhelmed in certain parts, horns, background singers, etc gives a muted sound.
Otherwise, there are no issues of skips, loud pops or loud unwanted noises. Like all the records we sell, it was cleaned for 3min. This copy doesn't appear to have to much play, spindle wear is at a minimum. Cover is in real nice shape, both front and back are bright and glossy and show just slight shelf wear, mainly along edges and corners. There is a old price sticker on label but we will leave removal up to you. On side 1 there is a spot with some wear, needle marks, rubs also pictured but nothing audible.
Bottom line; if your thinking this is like a lost recording of Pink Floyd you are going to lay back and jam to, its not, even if you find one in NM condition its not, that's why most postings say no returns. If you are interested in the progression of the sound and songs in a raw format or if your like me just needed for your collection (mines framed, cool cover) then this is a good copy, and priced accordingly to its condition. Sorry for the long description, just trying to be up front and don't want to waste your or my time.
