Skank Bloc Bologna / Is and Ought the Western World
Debut UK 7" issued on St Pancras Records in 1978.
This was a landmark release which took the DIY Punk ethic of bands such as The Desperate Bicycles to a new level. Listed on the foldover sleeve is the exact cost of recording, studio hire, pressing and labeling of the record plus the addresses and contact numbers for each service. This demystified the machinations of the record industry, cutting out the middle men, agents and major labels and laying the template for bands to go out and do it themselves.
This is a very nice copy too. The only one i have ever seen that isn't stapled.
The foldover sleeve and inner are in EXCELLENT+ condition with NO defects - no tears, writing etc.
The vinyl is in MINT condition - superb shape - actually perfect.
