Scrugg - Lavender Popcorn/ Sandwich Board Man
(Pye 7N 17551 UK 7" 1968)
This is a UK original Demo or Promo 7" pressing. The record has custom yellow & black "Pye" Promo labels. These have a 4 pronged centre. There is a large "A" printed on the A-side label. The record has 1st press A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. It comes with its original company "Pye" blue paper sleeve. Two great late 1960's UK Psych tracks. Both are available, I believe, on Youtube to hear. Both tracks have also been on retrospective 1960's Psych compilation LP's too. This is a rare late 1960's UK original Psych Demo 7" single. It seldom turns up.
Vinyl: There are considerable sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 8 hairline marks. These measure from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. Good condition. The labels are in VG+ condition. There is a faint line on the centre of the B-side label. Otherwise, mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Good+ to VG overall. There is some light, mild or more moderate crackle in the background. This is more noticeable in the quieter places. There are no noticeable loud clicks or pops. It does not jump or stick.
