Welcome to Mainelybooksandmusic where you can find yesterdays treasures at todays prices. Whether you're a personal collector, music junkie or a dealer my *mission statement* is to list my products at fair market prices based on condition and rarity and to be honest in the quality before my eyes. I am familiar with book grading, record grading and sports trading card's and have good knowledge of what makes each of those a higher grade than others based on their physical condition.

All my records are "not" played, but inspected for pictures and I inspect again during the description/listing process. So, if theres something that was missed , it was an honest mistake and I will work with you.

My personal grading is based on the industrys common abbreviations.

For Records:

Mint-Mint means "mint" and almost never played or played "once". label is centered precisely, is clean and glossy if applicable.

Excellent-Very high quality, not like mint, but has had several uses, but has been well cared for and will play with no surface noise interference.

Very Good- Record has been played "well" and not damaged to mis-use or neglegence. Obvious surface marks, but not being any scratches or gouges or dings thaT would affect the sound noise that much. Cover jackets with very slight shelf wear, still fairly glossy with a better than 50% sheen on them(if applicable)

Good-Obvious surface noise, heavy* play use and heavy shelf wear.Same goes to covers, bends, markings, etc. This is the lowest grade I will sell and often donate alot of my stock that doesnt meet "good" guidelines simply because its not worth anyones time. I wont sell you something that I dont believe would play to quality standards.

However I will rarely ever see a "mint++" record even if its still sealed. A nm(near mint) is my standard for a great quality record, but rarely will I use that. All my grading will be basically short and sweet and to the point and to the best of my knowledge.

I hope you enjoy the auction.
