Scum was a Finnish Death metal band , founded in Parikkala in 1990. 1992 band released it's first demo "Extreme Analcore Torment". They got labeled to Sickness records and released a single "Voyage in the Depths of Insanity/ Macabre Moors of Morgoth". In this stage, the lyrical style of band seemed to have moved from sheer gore and death to fantasy. The single helped them get signed to German Black Mark Records and they recorded and released their first full-length "Mother Nature" in 1994. The next full-length of the band "Purple Dreams & Magic Poems" was recorded in Tico-Tico ( Shadows of the Past / Slumber of Sullen Eyes ) Studios and produced with assistance of Ahti Kortelainen. The full-length was released in 1995. The band also managed to record a third album (Garden Of Shadows, but it was never released.
