Note our extensive piano rarity selection in our ebay store, along with back issues of rare piano journals. Sealed new old stock from the 1970s. International Piano Archives Claudio Arrau in Liszt Hungarian Rhapsodies. Cellophane is splitting with age but opening is still sealed. Tapes date from 1951 when he was in his prime, and the IPA made the sensible decision 40 odd years back to keep this mono, but in the best mastering possible. I have this in my own collection, I think it the definitive reading of these 5 rhapsodies - I have more than a foot of shelf space devoted to Liszt, amongst many thousands of Piano recitals. Whenever I see these IPA lp's, I hoover them up for myself, but as stated, I have this one, so you can have the pleasure of opening it for the first time in five decades, since it was in the factory in America. Unlikely to be many like this in the world. I can open it to separate the lp from the inner if you request it, otherwise I will try to pack in such a manner as to minimise the risk of seam splitting.
