Description :
First, let me state this is NOT an area of expertise for me. Although I have bought my fair share of albums over the years, I never got into the Audiophile recordings. It really shouldn't matter for the first dozen or so, because they are all still sealed. I'm guessing since they are unopened, the rating will be easier. I'll try to educate myself over the next few weeks as I work my way to the opened ones. I'm selling this for a friend, who was the original owner. If you have any questions, please ask them before the auction ends. I'll do my best to answer them.
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young’s Déj Vu, originally released in March of 1970, is one of the most important classic rock albums ever released. CSN’s magical blend of harmony signing and tremendous playing was elevated to new heights with the addition of Neil’s songwriting and guitar fury. The diversity of songwriting, from Graham beauties “Our House” and “Teach your Children,” Steven’s rockin’ opener “Carry On” and his acoustic “4 + 20,” David’s hippie-era rocker “Almost Cut My Hair” and the haunting title cut, Neil’s unforgettable contribution “Helpless” along with the definitive reading of Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock” makes this one powerful record from start to finish.
It's 1/2 speed, specialty plated and pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl Victor Company of Japan. Special Static free, dust free inner sleeves.The source is the Original Stereo Master Tape, and it's mastered with the Ortofon Cutting System.
The plastic cover is a bit more opaque than the photos. I suspect the flash added some contrast.
There's a small tear on the top, about 1/2" long, along with two small scrapes to the top of the cover. I tried to show it in the third photo. Also, the top of the plastic is kinda dirty, probably from sitting so many years.
