FIRST UK VINYL PRESSING - FANTASTIC CONDITION!
Up for auction is an original UK Mono 1956 pressing of Serge Chaloff - Blue Serge (Capitol T742). I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading reflects how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks. Bid with confidence - considering the personnel, this could very easily have been a Blue Note release going for thousands, so I'd consider it a bargain - especially in this type of exceptional condition!
- Record is strong Excellent, verging on Near Mint, with no visual or audio flaws. The soundstage is extremely quiet throughout (especially important for the bass solos). This record came from a collection in fantastic condition, and the vinyl is virtually flawless - I very rarely grade used records Near Mint, but this is as close as it gets.
- The cover is in solid Excellent condition with sharp edges (including a clean spine), the only blemish being *very* light ringwear. The front cover art is a wonderful piece of 50s kitsch and is in pristine shape. PLEASE NOTE: the roughly-drawn borders around the text on the back cover are part of the sleeve design, not drawn on!!
- Inner: original 1950s inner, in beautiful condition.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
