Description
La Grasa de las Capitales is the second studio album by the Argentine musical group Serú Girán, released in August 1979 by Sazam and presented at the Buenos Aires Auditorium (Ex Kraft), from September 6 to 16, 1979. This work was considered as #17 among the best in the history of Argentine rock in the list of Rolling Stone magazine. For this studio album, the musical group chose a much more frontal proposal. They eliminated the orchestra, which had not been fully accepted by the public, and composed simpler and more direct songs. The cover of this album is a parody of the Argentine magazine Gente, on whose cover the members of the group appear. Starting from the recovery of the historic record catalog of Music Hall, carried out by the National Institute of Music (INAMU), and with a meticulous production work that included the remastering of the sound from tapes, restoration of cover art.
