Description

Vintage Vogue Picture Records with vibrant colors and timeless artwork.

The set includes 3 - 78 RPM picture discs:

  • Art Kassel Orchestra featuring "I Love You" and "Sooner or Later"
  • Don Large Chorus featuring "The Bell's of St. Mary's" and " Star Dust"
  • Frankie Masters Orchestra "Everybody Knew But Me" and "Sweet I've Gotten On You"

I did not play these so I cannot offer an opinion on the sound quality.  Each record has scratching and discoloration; but, no cracks.  No chips but a few edges seem rough from playing. The Frankie Masters' record looks to have an ever so slight sliver on the rim - we can't see through a loop if this was damage or if this was part of the record stamping process - not seen on A side but on B side - "Sweet I've Gotten On You" near car fender you can see an ever so slight flatness.

Nice group of Vogue Picture Records from the 1940s.

Vogue Records was a United States based record label founded in 1946 and the novelty of the colorful discs was short lived and the company soon went out of business. But the surviving records are highly collectible for the unique look and colorful artwork.

Please review detailed photos as they are an important part of the description.
