Set of 3 albums by David Peel and the Lower East Side, vinyl 1968-72 G-VG

This is a set of the first three albums from David Peel and the Lower East Side. Somewhat similar to fellow New Yorkers The Fugs, they were an irreverent rock band that was most famous for their unabashed pro-marijuana anthems, all done at a time long before marijuana was decriminalized.
The first record here is Have a Marijuana from 1968 on the Elektra label. It features songs like I Like Marijuana, Here Comes a Cop and Show Me the Way to Get stoned. This copy’s cover shows moderate wear and there is a catalogue sticker in one corner. The vinyl is in very good condition with no scuffs or scratches and still plays well with a bit of record noise (hey it’s over 50 years old!).

The second record here is The American Revolution from 1970 on the Elektra label. It features songs like The Pledge of Allegiance, Legalize Marijuana and Hey, Mr. Draft Board. This copy’s cover shows moderate wear and there is a catalogue sticker and owner’s mark on the front. It is a cut-out, so there is a hole in one corner. The vinyl is in very good condition with no scuffs or scratches and still plays well with a bit of record noise (hey it’s over 50 years old!).

The third record here is a rare collector’s item, The Pope Smokes Dope from 1972. It was produced by John Lennon and Yoko Ono on the Apple label. It features songs like The Pope Smokes Dope, F Is Not a Dirty Word and The Ballad of New York City/John and Yoko. This copy’s cover shows significant wear, but is mostly intact. The vinyl is in very good condition with no scuffs or scratches and still plays well.
