Set of 3 vinyl LPs The Jeff Beck Group, Beck-Ola, Beck, Bogert & Appice. Beck-Ola, the follow up to Beck's first solo release, "Truth", released in 1969, features Rod Stewart on vocals, Ron Wood on bass, Nicky Hopkins on piano and Tony Newman on drums. As the note on the record cover suggests, "This album was made with the accent on heavy music....decide if you can find a small place in your heads for it" No one else was making music like this. The Jeff Beck Group LP, sometimes referred to as "Orange", was recorded in Memphis and produced by R&B genius Steve Cropper features a very different line up from Beck-Ola. A high point is the Beck classic "Going Down" Beck, Bogert & Appice is a power trio with Tim Bogert on bass and Carmine Appice, who together formed the rhythm section for the psychedelic Vanilla Fudge in the late 60's. Must have pieces of the Jeff Beck catalogue. The inner sleeves and covers are in good condition (See photos) though they do show some wear at 50+ years old. The vinyl however is in very good condition. Whether you're a long time Beck fan or just discovering him, these should be in your collection.
