Description

Here is an extremley rare set of 6 x 5'' diameter flexible 78 rpm records (I note that I have only photographed 5 above but I can confirm that there are a total of 6). These records (plastic coated thin cardboard) are very similar to the 10'' Durium flexible records but are even harder to find on 5''. They probably date from the early 1930's and were manufactured in the UK by Aircraft Products Ltd. 89, New Oxford Street, W.C.1 The records are stamped Dubrico pat. no. 337796. All 6 discs appear to be in an unplyed condition but similarly to the similar 10'' Durium records, exhibit slight warping. Please note that I do not have the equipment to play check 78 rpm records. The records come complete with their original paper folder but this is in extremly poor condition and is only included because it has some interesting information on its front cover. The booklet is foxed, stained, creased and no longer has its staples.
The artists included are:

Harry Champion - ''A good blow out for fourpence'' & ''I'm sweating on my old Selinda''
Marie Lloyd Jnr-  ''A little bit of lovin'' & ''I live in hopes''
Wilkie Bard - ''The Cleaner'' & ''The bathing machine attendant''
Florrie Forde - ''It pays to advertise'' & ''I want to go back to dear old Lancashirel''
Fred Barnes - ''The black sheep of the family'' & ''Give me the moonlight, give me the girl''
Charles Coborn - ''When I wants to see myself'' & ''It's so simple''
