Description
Sex Pistols 'Anarchy In The UK' EMI 7" Single
I've finally decided to sell parts of my record collection.
1976 release on EMI Records. I was given this record in the card sleeve shown in the picture. I don't know what the original sleeve was like. On both sides of the single, production credits are given to Chris Thomas. I believe that the B-side was actually produced by Dave Goodman.
Tracks:
-
Anarchy In The UK
-
I Wanna Be Me
The condition of this item is very good (see below). There is some light surface noise and some light surface marks, but both sides play well. The label on the A side has been named. See photos.
A note on equipment: I use an AR (Acoustic Research) EB101 turntable, a NAIM NAIT 5i amplifier and PMC GB1i speakers.
A note on the condition of records and sleeves: I follow the Record Collector Grading Guide, quoted below. I never list a record as 'mint', since all records in my collection have been played. However, I have looked after them with great care, and a buyer can expect this to be reflected in the condition of the vinyl and packaging. I would only list an item in 'good' condition if it was particularly rare and might still have wide appeal, in spite of its condition.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Mailers: This item will be dispatched in a 'Musicmax' mailer.
Postage: Within the UK, this item will be dispatched by Royal Mail First-Class on the day of payment or the next working day. Given that this auction ends on 18th December, and that the last pre-Christmas date for first class post is 20th December, with prompt payment this item could arrive before Christmas. Obviously, I cannot make promises on behalf of Royal Mail. In the UK, the cost of postage and packing will be £1.09; within the EU, £1.31; for North America it will be £2.62.
I welcome interest from Australia and Japan. Ask for postage rates.
Payment by Paypal only, please.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
