Rare 1st UK pressing misprint, states Chris Thomas as producer of "I Wanna Be Me".
Released: Nov 26, 1976, Made in Gt. Britain. ℗ 1976 EMI Records Ltd. ... This version miscredits Chris Thomas as the producer of side B. It was actually produced by Dave Goodman. This error was on the first 5000 copies only. As you know, median pricing for "Anarchy in the UK" in 1st issue is $175. This is top shelf, not median.
... These 2 singles are from my large private collection and absolutely cared for, underplayed since new. Selling down the collection to prepare for move. But I want to please other collectors too! The 2-record listing is because we like a good deal! These gems have not been out of their poly protector sleeves since the 1970's. Placed with care on the scanner to show you no ring wear, no tears, rips, or yellowing. Perfection.

My take?
In late 1976 this track was SO needed. At the time, with David 'Live and Young Americans; Bowie had strayed far from Rebel Rebel, Jean Genie, and Queen Bitch. Solo Beatles and The Stones were getting soft. My peers were listening to The Eagles, America and Poco. Ugh. But we had an FM station that played new, emerging music late at night. The songs played this one evening were by Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Dammed, and an INCREDIBLE track by a new band called Sex Pistols with "Anarchy in the UK". We had a great import service, and I ordered the single the very next day. Of course, all hell broke loose with EMI and the yobs but THIS track was my salvation with machine gun guitar licks, pounding drums, and bass that said WE MEAN IT MAAAAN!
