(Scroll down to see all the photos - click on any photo to see a closeup view) This auction is for an original 45rpm & picture sleeve by Seymour (of Katark) with the Champagne Brothers. Bellaire Records #B-45-101 - "Doin' the Hucklebuck" b/w "I Know an Old Lady". This was released in 1963. Cadet Don isn't mentioned on the label, but the "I Know an Old Lady" is credited to Travis (Don Travis was Cadet Don). Checking the internet I found that Seymour and Cadet Don were on a kid's TV show on KTRK in Houston from 1959 - 1968. I played the record on my old record player and it played fine (using a spindle changer). The picture sleeve is made of a thin paper and is in good condition - it is yellowed with age - there are creases in the corners and ones that show the outline of the 45 - there are a few small tears along the top edge - there is a diagonal crease in the upper half - there are about three small, light brown marks. The 45rpm record is in good condition and plays fine - there are light surface marks and a slight imperfection, but they played fine - the label is in good condition except for a paper label #34 on both sides - there are two small cracks on the inner circle of the labels/vinyl that were probably caused by a record changer spindle (it played ok for me using an record changer spindle - not using one of those small plastic inserts that some people use on each 45) the photo shows the pencil pointing to the middle of the two cracks and the crack is slightly bent. Overall this is in good condition, especially considering that most kids would have destroyed the picture sleeve or record. A NICE PIECE OF HOUSTON KIDS TV HISTORY! Postage is $3.50.
