Description
A very rare live recording of Sgt. Bilko's Krazy Combo.... the last line-up of the 1980s, featuring Berni Bilko ( Lumb) Guitar and vocals Mark Bending ( previously second guitar ) now on double bass and Kev Wilson drumming. This line up had played together briefly previous to this, but became more permanent just after the Klub Foot line-up imploded, at the first Long Knives, in Birmingham. They played at the LMS with Torment and the Rattlers and at a few alldayers / weekenders ( notably the Weekend of the longknives ) It was Kev's birthday bash, at the Black Lion, Giles street , Northampton, England.15/06/1989. There was a small invited crowd of about 30-40 people. This recording went straight through the PA to a cassette recorder. The crowd mic was muted on this mix. Kev much preferred the CD mix of this gig..... The vinyl version was too bassy I think... but very full of energy. That's exactly what the test dub is for, to check before issuing for general release. There are five tracks on this 10" vinyl. Other songs from this gig remain on tape. It is hoped that this will make up the B side of a live 12" album, that will feature 7 live recordings from July 1987 at the Klub Foot, Hammersmith, London.
postage costs will be agreed with the buyer, depending on location and insurance needs.
