The Groundhogs - Shake It / Rock Me - Interphon IN 7715 Promotional copy with open centre
A good copy of this very first promo only release by the Hogs. Some very, light wear over the two sides which is audible at the beginning as a light scuffing sound. Generally good and lets face it are there any more of these out there? The manila colour paper sleeve has some writing in biro on one side. 'John Lee backed by the Groundhogs' and some contact details. I can only assume this was done at the time but am unclear if John Lee Hooker is on either of these tracks, there is so little information available on this release. Certainly the Hogs were known to the major American Blues artists of the time and were the backing band for many who toured here in the mid sixties, including John Lee Hooker who had a good relationship with the band. They were his band for his 1964 UK tour.
