Description
Lovely copy of Shirley Collins' 1976 Amaranth album, issued on the Harvest Heritage label and including the 'Anthems in Eden' suite originally issued in 1969 as one side of the Shirley and Dolly Collins album Anthems in Eden.
Ironically, the sleeve notes by Shirley in June 1976 say "I intend this to be my last album and for this reason, the new items I have recorded cover all aspects of the music I love best.” Thankfully she has gone on to record many more albums and has continued to sing and record well into her 80s.
The textured sleeve is in excellent condition - just a tiny bit of fading at the spine.
The vinyl is bright and glossy and plays really well, despite the odd mark and hairline. There are a handful of pops at one point on Side 1 and that's the only audio disturbance I noticed.
Excellent plain white inner sleeve. Top copy from this living folk legend.
