Description
Extremely rare set of four exploitation discs for the 1938 Shirley Temple musical "Little Miss Broadway," also starring George Murphy, Jimmy Durante, and many more. These discs were not commercially available but were pressed in small numbers and sent to radio stations to help promote the movie. The musical selections represented are "We Should Be Together" (Shirley in a duet with George Murphy), "Be Optimistic" (Shirley with the Brian Sisters), "How Can I Thank You," and "If All the World Were Paper." All are one-sided discs, embossed on the reverse side with the "Allied Phonograph Record Manufacturing Co., RadioDisc" emblem.
The discs are virtially unplayed, with virtually no sign of wear. Two discs have rim chips that come nowhere near the grooves. All have bright, glossy shellac.
Records will be sandwiched between cardboard, wrapped in bubble-wrap and shipped in a 12 x 12 x 6" box with plenty of packing material. I have years of safely packing and shipping 78s, so bid with confidence! I also gladly combine winning lots!
