Description

Shy Limbs - Reputation/ Love

(CBS Records 4190 UK 7" Single 1969)

This is a 1969 UK original 7" single pressing. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has orange "CBS" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. It has 1st press matrix numbers. It comes with its original "CBS" company paper sleeve.

This is a very rare late 1960's UK Psych 7" Single. This band only released two singles. Both are very rare & collectable. The band featured Greg Lake just before he joined King Crimson. Both tracks are excellent late 1960's UK Psych tracks. They are, I believe, available to hear on Youtube. Please check them out if you are unfamiliar with them. In my opinion, the B-side is the slightly better of the two tracks. I have some other rare & collectible 1960's & 1970's UK 7" Singles & LP's for sale. So please see my other items.

Vinyl: There seems to be a very small, & very mild, finger-tip sized edge warp. This hardly really notices & does not affect playback. There is a small thumb-tip sized area of deep down dirt in the grooves at the start of the B-side. This causes some brief intermittent crackle (Please see below for a full playback description). There is a very light 2 cm surface rub mark on the B-side. There is a very mild 2 cm hairline surface mark on the B-side too. There are some mild, very mild or more moderate surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good+ condition. The labels are in Very Good++ condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this 7" single. The A-side plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are no clicks or pops on the A-side. As stated, there is a small area of deep down dirt at the start of the B-side. This causes some intermittent mild to more moderate crackle for a brief period. It doesn't really notice too much against the track. The music still shines through. There are a few mild clicks at the start of the B-side too. Overall, the B-side plays Good+ to Very Good. It does not jump.  Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
