Sibelius Symphony 5 Karajan Aust Columbia SAXO 2392

 

The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Herbert performs the “Finlandia” and “Symphony No. 5” by Sibelius. An Australian stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAXO 2392), the labels are blue/green with silver border and “radio waves”. The record has some light surface scuffs and is of otherwise excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with some low-level surface noise. The heavy-duty English cover has rubbed.
