Description
I don't think that these guys ever made a bad record, too bad Columbia just didn't know how to promote a rockabilly artist. Sid King and The Five Strings on Columbia with Oobie Doobie and Booger Red. Sid and the guys do a more countrified version of the Roy Orbison song and a nice country bopper on the flipside.
Styrene is a really nice and clean VG+ with some very light label way around the center.
I record the songs using an Audio Technica VM 540 ML needle through a McIntosh C24 preamp. You can hear the song from beginning to needle lift with NO editing of the MP3. Listen to a sound clip of sides 1 & 2. I'm starting to sell off my 45 year personal collection that consists of all types of novelty records like, Halloween, Christmas, Beatle novelty, Elvis novelty, Break-in, Answer, Trucker and Chipmunk sounds.
