Up for auction here have an original copy of the Sid Vicious Sid Sings LP released on Virgin Records in 1979,catalogue number is V2144. Included here is the increasingly rare and hard to find poster. There were a few variants and this copy comes with the famed "flick knife" poster which is in excellent condition. It does appear to have been hung as there are light blu tac marks to the rear but there are no tears or splits. Clearly been well cared for.
The vinyl is in amazing near mint condition,my highest grade. I cannot find a fault with the vinyl at all. As good as you will see I'm sure.
Original top opening stickered sleeve is in overall nice shape though there are a few nicks to the top so I'll conservatively grade it as being in VG+ condition. No real major issues here for a sleeve 34 years old.
Original picture inner is in excellent condition with no tears or splits. As good as you will find.
I will only send via signed for postage,if you're not happy with this then please do not bid. I've had too many parcels "go missing" in the past and cannot and will not send any other way,sorry.
Record Collectors Grading System.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
