Description


This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Sidney Bechet “Jazz Classics, Volume 1” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1201.  The flat rim playing surface is in extraordinary condition, with normal inaudible splotching from storage in the original non-acid free inner sleeve; perhaps played once.  Similarly, the Lexington Avenue frame cover is in remarkable condition: sharp corners, near-perfect seams, clean and bright throughout; just ¼” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening.
