Description

Unusual and scarce 1920s artifact:  10" 78 rpm phonograph record related to the SAE fraternity.  Side 1 is "Violets - Friends" by the Vocalion Quartet, and side 2 is "Sing, Brother, Sing" by the Shannon Quartet.  University Record Corporation # 315, in V+ condition: glossy wax, very light groove wear, couple of small,inaudible, hair scratches and a few light scuffs.  Labels feature the SAE crest; light needle runs on side 1 only, as pictured; small wol both sides, as shown.  Reddish-brown wax.  The "University Records Corporation" issues several similar records for the major fraternities and sororities, back in the day of whiskey flasks and raccoon coats.  Suitable for listening and/or display.  A similar Phi Delt record, albeit with cleaner labels, recently sold for $125.
