Howdy,

 

Up for auction is a 1984 vinyl release from Sugar Hill, Doc & Merle Watson's Down South.

Vinyl = VG++,  LP Jacket = VG condition, top right corner has a 1/2 inch corner cut. This album will look beautiful once it is framed and displayed., Signatures are in black Sharpie.

 

 

I’ve been collecting vinyl, posters, cds, and music memorabilia for 35 years. I’ve been obtaining autographs on many of these items for almost as long.  I’ve collected several thousand LPs, a thousand or so CDs and hundreds of Posters. All my autographs have been obtained by myself in person.

 

 

I obtained all three autographs at the 1998 Rockygrass Bluegrass Festival in Lyons, Colorado. Doc Watson played two sets that weekend, one with Jack Lawrence on Saturday 8/1/98, and one with David Grisman (Dawg) on 8/2/98. Doc autographed this album with the assistance of Jack Lawrence. Note: Doc was not able to autograph an item by himself as he was blind. He required the assistance of Jack, T Michael, or Richard his grandson for an item to be autographed. It was always an incredible pleasure to cross paths with Doc, He was as interested to find out more about who you were, as you were as excited to talk to him.

 

 T Michael Coleman played in Chesapeake on Saturday 8/1/98. Sam Bush played in the Thunder Jam on Sunday, 8/2/98 with Jerry Douglas, Tim O’Brien, Peter Rowan, Mark Schatz & Pete Wernick.
